Is it safe to use a credit card on DHgate?

Hey everyone, does anyone else have a deep fear of using their credit card for online purchases? I'm extremely reluctant to use my credit card to buy stuff from some of my local retailers, let alone a marketplace located on the other side of the world. Can anyone guarantee that my bank details will be safe if I order something from DHgate?
