What is the delivery process like for electronics purchased from Chinese websites?

Hello all. I'm thinking about purchasing some electronics for my small business, and I found what I'm looking for on two Chinese websites. Before I order, though, I'd like to know more about the delivery process, so I can prepare some details in advance. 
What delivery method does China use? How long would my package stay in transit? Thanks for answering.

There are many different types of freight, shipping, and delivery methods that a supplier from China can use. Standard international shipping is slow (takes a few months), while expedited shipping or shipping through well-known carriers like DHL or FedEx is much faster (takes a few weeks) and safer although more expensive.
